The Bono Regional Minister, Lawyer Joseph Addae Akwaboah has reiterated government’s pledge to support public sector workers.
Lawyer Akwaboah said this during his maiden official visit to the Dormaa East District. The purpose of his visit was to meet with chiefs and residents, assess ongoing development projects, and engage with stakeholders to address concerns and promote progress.
During a meeting with District Assembly staff and management, Lawyer Akwaboah pointed out government’s commitment to improving workers’ salaries and working conditions. He stated that plans are already in motion to achieve this and urged workers to give their full support to the government’s economic transformation agenda.
The Regional Minister also issued a firm warning, asking workers to avoid any actions that could sabotage the system; as such behaviours would not be tolerated.
The Dormaa East District Chief Executive, Hon. Osei Owusu King, and the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Hon. Rachael Owusuaa, both praised the collaborative spirit and dedication of the workers. During the question and answer session of the meeting, the staff had the opportunity to raise questions about their work and conditions of service.
