The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced a significant reduction in passport application fees, effective this Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The Minister, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, confirmed that the new passport application fee will be set at GHS350, representing a 30% reduction from the previous rate.
This policy change is expected to ease the financial burden on Ghanaian citizens seeking to acquire or renew their passports, making the essential travel document more accessible to the public.
In a statement, the Minister emphasised the government’s commitment to improving service delivery and reducing costs for citizens in all sectors.
The reduction aligns with broader efforts to enhance efficiency and affordability in public services.
Prospective applicants are advised to take note of the new fee structure, which takes effect from Thursday.
All passport application centres across the country will implement the revised fees accordingly.
