
A Small-Scale Miner, Mr. Isaac K. Baidoo has thrown his weight behind the establishment of the government-backed Gold Board to regulate the purchase of gold from small-scale miners.
According to him, the Gold Board initiative is a game-changer for the small-scale mining industry in Ghana, with the potential to transform the sector and contribute to national economic growth.
In an interview with the media, Mr. Isaac K Baidoo, appealed to all illegal and legal miners in the country to put in all their support to the government. He reiterated that this initiative seeks to ensure fair pricing, eliminate exploitation and promote transparency and sustainability.
He therefore called on the government to allocate adequate resources to the Gold Board to ensure its success.
Mr. Isaac K. Baidoo also urged the government to invest in modern mining equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency in the sector.
The small-scale miner lives in Wassa Ataase Community and has worked as a small-scale miner for more than 25 years.
