The government of Ghana remain committed to honouring the Settlement Agreement with Trafigura.

This will help to bring this matter to a closure.

A press statement issued and signed by the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry stated that government has made the necessary arrangements to pay -off the outstanding claims agreed with Trafigura after several rounds of negotiations.

As such, government is surprised at the impression being created especially on social media of government inaction on the issue.
