The President has withdrawn the appointment of Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson as the Deputy National Security Coordinator.
The Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare, issued a letter with the title “Withdrawal of Appointment as Deputy National Security Coordinator” to communicate this decision.
The letter referred to a previous communication dated January 2, 2024, with reference number OPS/10/1/24/04, wherein Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson was appointed to act as the Deputy National Security Coordinator.
The initial appointment was made pending the receipt of approval from the National Security Council, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
However, following additional consultations and in light of anticipated reforms within the National Security Establishment, the President has opted to retract the previously extended appointment of Dr. Osei Bonsu Dickson as the Deputy National Security Coordinator.
