A short ceremony to formally open and distribute newly constructed market stalls at Kyeremasu in the Dormaa East District has taken place.
A renowned Prophet of the Kyeremasu Methodist Church, Prophet Martin Ansu said prayers to dedicate the market to allow for its usage for business. He prayed and sought blessings and protections for the entire town, users of the market and their activities in the market.
The market which was completed prior to its scheduled date of completion has 25 distributed stalls, a urinary and enough space for variant economic activities.
Traders interviewed said that it would not only provide conducive environment for economic activities, but would also enhance their livelihood
The Market Queen Mother, Nana Akua Fatima Pomaa as well as the Dormaa Aduana Kyidom Akwamuhemaa, Nana Gyamfuaa thanked God and the government for the support and initiative. They as well called on the traders and tenants of the stalls to put up good behaviours and ensure unity which would propel development.
Other stakeholders present included the District Assembly Staff, Assembly Members, Religious and Opinion Leaders, as well as the tenants of the stalls.
